orange can’t fathom what black is, — I’m

rooting for everyone black to appraise their skin,

the dystopian perpetuates, rivers forge mind,

matter to pieces of fragments, but I’m blacker

than black, or blue phi. kidsare dancing and shuffling

but – I don’t have a buck to give no more, or less – I

give what has been taken, next stop two fiff and

everything is depleted.

Literacy Events & Programs.

Host hosts annual events to promote literacy in Central New York communities, an annual published book launch party, and a Writers and Poets Conference. Our reading clubs promote dialogue between community members.

Reading & Writing Clubs.

Youth and adult reading clubs, workshops, and creative arts develop literacy and connect writers. The reading club for adults will occur twice a month on a Saturday. The reading club for youth will occur during Creative Arts Academy

Publishing Opportunities.

Monthly poem features, contests, and global conferences that empower poets and storytellers.

Director’s Pledge

At the heart of Asante Club’s purpose is a commitment to publish the work of poets and writers. Our goal is to make writing accessible to readers and writers who use creative expression as a means of connecting humanity through impactful writing.

Asante Club’s writing initiative and creative writing programs afford local and global communities access to our assistant editor, along with our global contributors, services and resources. It is our duty to support our writing community, as they provide thoughtful articles and essays that engage with community issues and social conversations—ensuring that our platform remains relevant, reflective, and responsive to the world around us.
